Good news for Malaysian American Express (AMEX) Charge Card Holder!. Now you can convert your Membership Rewards Points to cash rebate. This cash will be use to offset your mothly statement balance in full or part. All you need to do is 4 simple steps.
- Check the amount due and MR points balance as per Card statement.
- Call Customer Service Hotline at 03-2050 0888 (before statement due date) to convert your MR points to cash rebate.
- Specify the no. of points/amount that you wish to convert.
- MR points will be deducted and the corresponding value in RM will be credited to your card account. These will be reflected in the following month’s statement.
Another good news is AMEX is giving 2x points on every Ringgit Spend on anything & anywhere. Great News!
With this offer, AMEX is offering RM1 rebate for every 200 Membership Rewards Points. Since you earn 2 Membership Rewards Points for every Ringgit spend, this translate to 1% cash rebate on your purchase. When you compare with other cash rebate cards, this seem to be one of the better choice. I will update my analysis on cash rebate credit cards post earlier to include AMEX cards.
The good thing is there is no limit on how much you spend per month to entitle for Membership Rewards Points. Wow!
However this offer is not applicable for to American Express KrisFlyer and Corporate Cards.
