Exchange Your Faded or Discolored RM50 Note

On the 11th February 2010, Bank Negara issue a statement that those who have faded or discoloured banknotes can exchange them at Bank Negara or its branches throughout the country.

Earlier, an engineer in Petaling Jaya reported that the print had disappeared from 4 of his new RM50 notes which he had mistakenly left in his washing machine along with his laundry.

SWIFT Codes For Malaysian Banks

SWIFT Code

SWIFT code is a standard format of Bank Identifier Codes approved by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is the unique identification code of a particular bank. These codes are used when transferring money between banks, particularly for international wire transfers, and also for the exchange of other messages between banks. The SWIFT code is 8 or 11 characters.

If you expected to received money via wire transfer from overseas, then you need this code. For Malaysian Banks, only 8 characters swift code is required. In case the issuing banks requires 11 characters then just add “XXX” at the end of swift code shown below. For example for Al Rajhi Bank change from RJHIMYKL to RJHIMYKLXXX.
