What is CP 500 Notices that Issued by IRB

Recently, IRB wrongly sent many CP 500 notices to taxpayers which lead to confusion. In the notice, taxpayers were asked to make instalment payment to IRB. The notice states the amount, due date and number of instalments the taxpayer have to pay.

Bank Rakyat to Accept New Members & Declare 15% Dividend for 2009


Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Rakyat) , the country’s only cooperative bank announce that they will considering lifting a five-year freeze on accepting new members as part of plans to raise RM500 million in extra capital.

However, the priority will be given to the existing members to increase their investment in Bank Rakyat. Bank Rakyat will seek shareholders approval for the capital increase at its annual general meeting in April 2010. For those who eagerly waiting for this opportunity, please remember this date.

Foreign exchange reserves are the foreign currency deposits that held by central banks and monetary authorities. In Malaysia it is also known as International Reserves. It comprices of Foreign Currency, IMF Reserve Position, SDRs, Gold and Other Reserve Assets.

As of 29th January 2010, International Reserves for Malaysia is at USD97 billion (MYR332.2) and Malaysia is at 16th position when compare with other nation. International Reserves data are released by Bank Negara Malaysia twice a month.
