Trade

Malaysia’s international trade experienced tremendous growth throughout the last 4 decades with total trade from merely RM 9.45 billion in 1970 to RM 1.4 trillion in 2014. The trade it plays a large role in Malaysian economy.

Malaysia has managed to maintain a positive trade balance, exporting more goods than it imports except in 1982, 1991 and 1994 – 1997.

In 2014, Malaysia post a trade balance of RM 83.11 billion. The highest was recorded prior to global recession in 2008 at RM143.21 billion.

Amanah Saham Nasional (ASN) fund was launched on the 20th of April 1981. ASN was PNB first fund & it is only eligible to Malaysian Bumiputera. The fund objective is to generate reasonable level of income distribution and capital appreciation to the Unitholders through a diversified portfolio of investments.

ASN is a growth equity fund. Initially, ASN was launched as a fixed-price fund with a unit price of RM1.00 but it was converted to market pricing in 1991. The allocated fund size is 2.5 billion units.

The table below is the historical dividend rate since the fund was launched in 1981. Bear in mind that the dividend from 1981 to 1990 was based on fixed unit price while from 1991 onwards, there are elements of capital appreciation or depreciation. This means that the actual returns may be higher or lower which reflect by its Net Assets Value (NAV)

ASD is a equity growth fund with fixed-price of RM1.00 per unit. The allocated fund size is 4.5 billion units and it is open to all Malaysian Bumiputera. It is also eligible for EPF withdrawal.

Amanah Saham Nasional 3 (ASN3) fund was launched on the 16th of October 2001. The fund objective is to generate capital growth over the medium to long-term period by investing in a balanced portfolio of investments and through re-investment of distribution.

ASN3 is a equity balanced fund with unit price is based on Net Assets Value (NAV). On top of the declared dividend, there will be a potential of profits (or losses) due to movement of NAV. The allocated fund size is 1 billion units and it is open to all Malaysian. It is also eligible for EPF withdrawal.
