ASW2020

Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB), a wholly owned subsidiary of PNB, recently announced an income distibution or dividends of 6.35 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) for the financial year ended 31 August 2010.

The income distribution will involve a total payment of RM777.53 million, an increase of 32.30% compared with the previous year’s total payment of RM587.70 million. It will benefit 892,825 unit holders which currently hold 13.1 billion units of ASW 2020,

Amanah Saham Nasional 2 (ASN2) fund was launched on the 9th of June 1999. The fund objective is to provide Unitholders with a reasonable dividend yield as well as capital appreciation at an acceptable level of risk through investments made in Malaysian equity securities.

ASN2 is a equity growth fund with unit price is based on Net Assets Value (NAV). On top of the declared dividend, there will be a potential of profits (or losses) due to movement of NAV. The allocated fund size is 2.5 billion units and it is open to all Malaysian Bumiputera. It is also eligible for EPF withdrawal.

Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) fund was launched on the 20th of April 2000. The fund objective is to provide unitholders with a long-term investment opportunity that generates regular and competitive returns through a diversified portfolio of investments.

ASM is a equity income fund with fixed-price at RM1.00 per unit. The allocated fund size is 13 billion units an open to all Malaysian.

ASD

Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), a wholly-owned unit of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), announced an income distribution of 6.35 sen per unit for Amanah Saham Didik (ASD) for the financial year ending June 30 2010.

The income distribution would involve a total payment of RM207.75 million, an increase of 33.50 per cent compared with RM155.59 million paid last year. As of June 2010,there are 293,504 unit holders who collectively owned 3.59 billion units.

Until June 11, 2010, ASD recorded a gross income of RM258.33 million with dividend income from investee companies contributing RM89.09 million or 34.49 per cent to the total income.

ASW2020

For financial end 2009, ASW 2020 pays 6.3 sen dividend to the unitholders and it is the lowest since the fund was launched in 1997. In the same period, a total of more than 872,599  peoples subscribe with ASW 2020 with total fund size of more than RM11 billion. It means that only left less than 3 billion unit to be subscribed.

In summary, ASW 2020  invest 59.7% of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market. The remaining is in cash or other income instrument.
