New VISA Debit Card with Cash Rebate from RHB Bank


RHB VISA Debit Card

RHB Bank recently launch 2 new VISA debit cards namely Cash-Connect & My-Cash-i VISA debit cards. Previously RHB Bank have similar debit card but with Mastercard logo. With the new offering, customers will be able to choose either Debit Card with VISA or Mastercard logo.

What interest me regarding this debit card is the VISA logo which I hope support PayPal fund withdrawal. Cash-Connect VISA debit cards will be link to the Conventional Current or Saving account while My-Cash-i VISA debit cards will be link to similar Islamic accounts.

Together with the launching, RHB Bank offering 2% cash rebate for any transactions made with the card. Maximum cash rebate entitlement per account is RM30 per month. This promotion will ends 31st March 2010. After the promotion period the cash rebate will be reduce to 0.5% on all transaction.

Up to 3% Interest Rate on Fixed Deposit With RHB Bank MaxFD3

RHB Bank is launching a Fixed Deposit campaign with MaxFD3 aacount. Depositors will enjoy up to 3% of return with MaxFD3 fixed deposit account. This campaign will end 31st July 2009. UPDATE – This promotion is extended to 22nd October 2009.

In order to participate, depositors have to place a minimum of RM10,000 in RHB MaxFD3 for 8 months and enjoy special interest rates that just keep getting higher and higher. In fact the interest rate will increase every two months for the entire 8 months tenure. The details on the interest rates are,

First 2 months – 2.10% p.a.
Next 3rd and 4th months – 2.30% p.a.
Next 5th and 6th months – 2.40% p.a.
Remaining 7th and 8th months – 3.00% p.a.

Nowdays, more and more people are using Credit or Debit Cards at petrol pump. The main reason is you do not need to que up at the counter for the payment. Another great reason on why we must use Credit or Debit Cards at petrol pump is because of the extra benefit that we going to receive.

What kind of benefit that you going to received? Well I think a lot of people are already aware of the current trend for banks in Malaysia to issue Credit or Debit Cards that offer cash rebate or higher rewards point to their customers. Malaysian Paypal Account, Cards for Account Verification & Fund Withdrawal

Just to clarify that all VISA, MASTERCARD & AMEX cards are suitable for Paypal Verification but take note that Paypal only allow VISA cards for fund withdrawal. However, this is subject to issuing bank policy.
