Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) unitholders will receive a dividend of 7.25 sen and a bonus 0.50 sen per unit for the financial year ending 31st December 2015. This brings a total of 7.75 sen distribution income for year 2015.
This dividend is 0.25 sen lower when compare to 7.50 sen declared in 2014 while bonus is 0.50 sen lower when compare to 0.50 sen declared in 2014. The total dividend and bonus is the lowest since the fund launched in 1990.

The dividend will involve a total payout of RM10.41 billion by ASNB, an increase of 4.3% compared to the RM9.98 billion paid in 2014. Meanwhile, the bonus will involve a total payout of RM451.73.
The payment will benefit 8.87 million unit holders which currently hold a total of 142.54 billion units of ASB.
Total gross income of ASB on 23rd December 2015 is estimated at RM10.06 billion.
The calculation of income distribution is based on the average monthly minimum balance held throughout the financial year of ASB ending 31 December 2015. The calculation of the bonus on the other hand is based on the average monthly minimum balance held by the unit holders in the past ten years.
The income distribution and bonus would be automatically credited into the respective unitholder’s account. Unitholders could update their accounts beginning 4th January 2016 at ASNB branches or agents nationwide.
All ASB transactions will be suspended starting from 24th December 2015 to 3rd January 2016 to facilitate the calculation of income distribution and bonus.
