Lembaga Tabung Haji or Pilgrim Fund Board of Malaysia announced bonus comprising 5.0 per cent annual bonus (dividend) and 3.0 per cent special Hajj bonus for financial year ended 31st December 2015.
This bring the total bonus to 8 percent. The total bonus is 0.25 percent less than the amount declared in 2014.
The Hajj Bonus is only to depositors who have not performed their Hajj and limited to the current hajj fee (RM9,980) or their average monthly deposit for 2015 which ever lower. The Hajj Bonus would benefit 8.23 million Tabung Haji depositors who have yet to perform their pilgrimage.

The Yearly Bonus will involve a total payout of RM3.23 billion from RM3.53 billion in profit recorded, the highest it has recorded since it was established 52 years ago. It represented a 19% increase from the RM2.98 billion earned in 2014 and it benefited 8.85 million depositors.
From the total profit, RM59.3 million will be used to pay for zakat while RM300 million will be kept for TH’s reserves after considering Bank Negara Malaysia’s recent assessment of its reserve levels.
Yearly dividend is calculated base on minimum monthly balance in 2015.
Depositors may check the bonus through Tabung Haji counters nationwide or through ATM machine of Bank Islam, Bank Rakyat or Maybank Islamic starting from 10th February 2016.
