Bank Rakyat Declares 15% Dividend for 2010

Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Rakyat) declares 15 percent dividend to its members for financial year end 2010 amounting to RM294.9 million. This was announced during press conference to announce bank’s financial results.

During the same period Bank Rakyat registered a 10.8 per cent increase in pre-tax profit to RM1.72 billion from RM1.55 billion the previous year.

Bank Rakyat’s gross income rose by 24.3 per cent to RM4.70 billion from RM3.78 billion while net income after profit distribution to depositors grew by 16.7 per cent to RM3.05 billion from RM2.61 billion previously.

Every year, Bank Rakyat pays good dividend to its members. Unfortunately, the new membership still closed and existing members are not allowed to increase their investment.
