New 2011, 20% Cash Back with AmBank Credit Card


AmBank is having a new promotion where AmBank credit card holders will enjoy 20% cash rebate on groceries, petrol, departmental store and pharmacy spending on Saturday and Sunday.

The promotion is running from 1st June 2011 to 31st March 2012. The promotion open to Principle Credit Card holder with the exception of PrePaid MasterCard and card holders whose card accounts have been suspended, cancelled or terminated.

To participate, you have to register your AmBank credit card via SMS. To register, send SMS through your mobile number by typing “cashback {space} 16-digits card no” to 36663. This is one time registration and will be charged 30 cents.

Participating groceries, petrol, departmental store and pharmacy are,

Departmental Stores:- Isetan, Marks & Spencer, Metrojaya, Parkson, Robinsons, Tangs
Pharmacies:- Caring, Guardian, Watsons
Hypermarkets/Supermarkets:- Boulevard (East Malaysia), Carrefour, Cold Storage, Giant, Jusco, Mydin, Tesco, NSK
Petrol Stations:- BHPetrol, Caltex, Esso, Mobil, Petronas, Shell

If you interested to participate, please remember the following point

  • There is a maximum of RM2 million Cash Back available for this entire Program with a capping of RM200,000 per month based on first come first served basis. From previous similar program, the monthly entitlement is finished within days.
  • Cardmember is only entitled to a maximum payout of RM80 Cash Back per month.
  • The transaction is calculated based on every block of RM50 for Petrol & RM100 for Hypermarket/Supermarkets, DepartmentalStores and Pharmacies purchases.
  • Additional 5% cash rebate on spending made at Caltex.
