AS1M Stock Market Portfolio & Unitholder Distributions for 2012


AS1MFor the financial end of 30th September 2012, Amanah Saham 1 Malaysia (“AS1M”) declared 6.6 sen dividend to the unitholders. In the same period, 336,411 individuals subscribe to AS1M with the total investmets of RM8 billion. Average investment per individual is RM23,833. There were 1,442 rich Malaysians invest more than RM500,000 in AS1M.

In summary, AS1M  invested 53.46 percent of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market down from 83.35 percent in 2011. The remaining was invested in money market and others.

What is Net Worth & How to Calculate?

EPF Announced 6.15% Dividend for 2012

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) announced dividend rate of 6.15 percent for the financial year ended 31st December 2012 after obtaining approval from Minister of Finance. It was the highest since year 2000 and 15 basis points higher than 6.0 percent announced in 2011.

The total dividend payout stand at RM27.45 billion from RM31.02 billon investment income.  The remaining are used for investment expenses, operating expenditures, statutory charges and net impairment allowance on financial assets. The payout representing an increase of 12.17 per cent compared to RM24.47 billion recorded in 2011.

Tabung Haji Declared 8.0% Dividend & Bonus for 2012

Recently, Lembaga Tabung Haji or Pilgrim Fund Board of Malaysia announced a Golden Jubilee bonus comprising 6.5 per cent annual dividend and 1.5 per cent special bonus for financial year ended 31st December 2012. This bring the total dividend and bonus to 8 percent, the highest since year 2000.

The dividend was 0.5 per cent higher than the 2011 rate, which was 6.0 per cent but there is no bonus announced in 2011.
