ASM Unitholders Get 6.5 sen Dividend for 2012

Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), announced a dividend of 6.50 sen per unit for the Amanah Saham Malaysia for the financial year ending 31st March 2012.

The dividend is 0.12 sen per unit was higher than the 6.38 sen paid in 2011. Kindly refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” for previous year dividend.

He said the income distribution would involve a total payout of RM820.24 million, an increase of 8.6 percent compared to the RM755.05 million paid out last year.

The payment will benefit 546,341 unit holders who currently hold 12.62 billion units of ASM.

As of 21st March 2012, ASM has recorded a gross income of RM978.32 million.

For financial end of 31st March 2011, ASM declared 6.38 sen dividend to the unitholders. In the same period, 549,683 peoples subscribe to ASM down from 551,918 in 2010. The total fund size was RM11.85 billion up from RM11.21 billion in 2010.

In summary, ASM  invest 71.78 percent of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market up from 68.92 percent in 2010. The remaining was invested in money market and others.

ASM Unitholders Get 6.38 sen Dividend for 2011

On 17th March 2010, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) announced 6.38 sen dividend per unit of Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) for the financial year ended 31st March 2011. It was 0.08 sen higher than 2010 dividend. The highest dividend given was 7.8 sen in 2001. Refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” page for previous year dividend.

ASM had a capacity to distribute 7.7 sen per unit but the board of directors decided to give the only 6.38 sen per unit. The balance will be carried forward to next year.

For financial end 2010, ASM pays 6.3 sen dividend to the unitholders. In the same period, a total of more than 551,918  peoples subscribe in ASM with total fund size of more than RM11 billion. It means that only left less than 3 billion unit to be subscribed.

In summary, ASM  invest 68.92% of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market. The remaining is in cash or other income instrument.

Recently, Permodalan Nasional Bhd and CIMB Bank unveiled CIMB Clicks Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) Funds Top Up Facility

This online facility allows all registered ASNB investors, who have a CIMB Clicks account to make additional investments in five fixed-price unit trust funds managed by ASNB.

The five funds are Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB), Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM), Amanah Saham Didik (ASD), Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW2020) and Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS 1Malaysia).

Third party top up is also accepted under this service, thus allowing family members or guardians to invest for their loved one.
