EPF Announced 5.80% Dividend for 2010

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) announced dividend rate of 5.80 percent for the financial year ended 31 December 2010. It was 15 basis points higher than 5.65 percent announced in 2009. However, it is slightly lower than the rumors of 5.85%, early this month.

The total dividend payout stand at RM21.61 billion and it was the highest ever. Gross income for the same period was at historical high of RM24.06 billion which is 39.76 percent higher than 2009.

ASW2020 Stock Market Portfolio & Unitholder Distributions for 2010

For financial end of 31st August 2010, ASW 2020 declared 6.35 sen dividend to the unitholders. In the same period,  892,670  peoples subscribe to ASW 2020 up from 872,599 in 2009. The total fund size was RM13.1 billion up from RM11 billion in 2009. At the time of writing,  ASW 2020 is fully subscribed with total fund size of RM14 billion.

In summary, ASW 2020  invest 64.85 percent of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market up from 59.71 percent in 2009. The remaining was invested in money market and others.

EPF Expected to Announce Higher Dividend for 2010

A source inform that Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is expected to announce 5.85 percent dividend for financial year end 2010. The final announcement is schedule to be made either by the end of February or early March.

The dividend is expected 0.2 percent higher than 2009 which was at 5.65 percent. Higher dividend is expected because EPF registered higher investment income at least in quarter 1 and 3 in 2010.

Tabung Haji Declared 5.5% Dividend for 2010

Lembaga Tabung Haji or Pilgrim Fund Board of Malaysia recently announced a 5.5 percent dividend for 2010. The total payout to depositors is RM1.33 billion.

The dividend is 0.5 percent higher than 2009 rate which was 5 percent. Higher dividend was due to the fund’s better financial performance in 2010. In the same period, Tabung Haji recorded a revenue of more than RM2 billion.

The dividend rate for Tabung Haji is very competitive taking into account the profile of Tabung Haji investments which are limited to Syariah compliant investments.

14 % Dividend & Bonus for LTAT Members in 2010

The Malaysian Armed Forces Fund, better known as Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) members will receive a 14 percent dividend for financial year end 2010.

LTAT recorded an unaudited total income of RM747.5 million in 2010 and it is the highest in its 38-year history.

The 14 percent dividend comprise 7 per cent dividend, 1 per cent bonus and 6 per cent special bonus in the form of unit trusts.

The total payout to LTAT members is RM616.3 million, a 7.2 per cent increase over the previous year’s RM575.2 million.
