In the Brokerage Fee section, there’s the percentage if Cash. For non-cash, there’s 100k. Why no same info for cash? Does it mean that for cash, no matter how big u trade, the percentage is the same?
    Thanks!

What are the latest brokerage fee and offers for Maybank? What are the differences between Maybank2u Share Trading and Maybank IB offer for opening trading account? Do they have a cash upfront online trading account? I tried to finding out their products info but could find it a bit confusing.

    Reply
    • Student11 4th July, 2012, 12:29 am

If you opt to Maybank IB you’ll get Direct CDS account. If opening with Maybank Equity Investment Centre (or Maybank Share Investment Center) you’ll get nominee CDS.
So, with one to choose? As for me, I opened both. Why? I use the Direct CDS to apply public IPOs. Once alloted, I transfer the shares to my nominee CDS as its brokerage fee is much cheaper (i.e., 0.10%, min RM8. This rate is for cash upfront)

As for trading online, both type of account use the same platform , i.e., Maybank Online Share Trading, an IE-based platform.
