  • compare to OCBC titanium card, I still think OCBC is better.

    What do you think?

Planning to apply OCBC titanium card since CIMB direct access no longer give 2% rebate on petrol.

  • Is the 5% Cash Rebate on weekends applicable on any purchases or just “selected” shops ?

  • ck5354,

It’s not much different as monthly cap for both cards are RM50. OCBC just better due to flexibility. No need to spend on weekend & many merchant accept mastercard when compare to AMEX.

    iMarx,

I believe it is applicable to any merchant as they do specify it in the product disclosure.

  • What are the differences between the platinum and gold cards, besides the entry requirements and the credit limits ?

Anything the platinum card holders get that the gold card holders don’t ?

  • iMarx,

The most notable different is the look at the card. Platinum will be prestigious. Other than that platinum will have higher starting credit limit & it offer better more perks such as traveling insurance, free or cheaper golf package.

Some banks such as Alliance banks offer higher cash rebate for platinum cards. Other banks may have different benefits.

  • star,

I don’t have this card. Maybe they not allow paying bills by using AMEX. The best is to check with Customer Service.

  • I have a question. The 5% rebate is cap at rm50 p/mth. When the term say per month does it mean regardless my cut off date on billing, it is purely base on each month spend? Eg. If my cut off date is 21st feb, if I spend 1k before 21 on same month and after 21 for another 1k, (both spending in feb) – will I get rebate rm50 on march invoice & also on April invoice since i spend after my cut off. Anyone can confirm? Thanks

  • Rebate will be calculated base on spending done in the whole month , regardles of cutoff billing date.. any outstanding balance or that month statement will automatically deducted will the rebate.
