How to do e-Filing for Individual Income Tax Return

The easiest & most convenient way to submit income tax return form is via e-Filing. Normally, e-Filing system start to open on 1st of March for previous year tax assessment. e-Filing system can be used to submit e-BE, e-B, e-M, e-E, e-P and e-M form.

For information, the dateline to complete e-BE and e-M income tax return is on 30th April while for e-B and e-P and e-M is on 30th June.

New 2011, Up to 12% Cash Rebate with Public Bank Credit Card

Public Bank has a new credit card promotion called “Swipe More & Get Rewarded with PB Credit Card”. Under this promotion, cardholders will earn up to 12% cash rebate on spending made with Public bank credit cards.

This promotion is valid from 1st March 2011 to 31th July 2011. During this promotion a total RM2.5 million cash back to be won by cardholders. This translate to RM500,00 cash back per month.

Under this promotion, cardholders who swipe at least 12 times per month will entitle for 12% cash rebate while cardholders who swipe at least 8 times per month will entitle for 8% cash rebate. All the spending must be in single receipt with minimum of RM80.

ASM Unitholders Get 6.38 sen Dividend for 2011

On 17th March 2010, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) announced 6.38 sen dividend per unit of Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) for the financial year ended 31st March 2011. It was 0.08 sen higher than 2010 dividend. The highest dividend given was 7.8 sen in 2001. Refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” page for previous year dividend.

ASM had a capacity to distribute 7.7 sen per unit but the board of directors decided to give the only 6.38 sen per unit. The balance will be carried forward to next year.

New Guidelines for Credit Card Issuance and Usage
