ASB Stock Market Portfolio & Unitholder Distributions for 2013


ASB

ASB pay 8.70 sen in dividend and bonus for financial end 2013. This comprise of 7.7 sen dividend and 1.0 sen bonus. In the same period, a total of 8.26 million peoples subscribe to ASB with total fund size of more than RM127.26 billion. At this size, ASB is the biggest funds that manage by ASNB.

In summary, ASB invest more than 70% of the total funds size in Malaysia Stock Market. The remaining is in cash or other income instrument.

Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 Officially Launched


ASB2As highlighted during 2014 budget, on 2nd April 2014 Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) officially launched Amanah Saham Bumiputera 2 (ASB2) fund. This is the 10th fund managed by PNB & it is aimed to empower the Bumiputra economy. The fund size is 10 billion units.

ASB2 is a fixed price fund at RM1 each unit. Most of the fund features, are very much similar to first ASB except that ASB2 fund is Mixed-Type fund rather than Equity.

ASM Unitholders Get 6.6 sen Dividend for 2014

Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), announced a dividend of 6.6 sen per unit for the Amanah Saham Malaysia for the financial year ending 31st March, 2014.

In comparison, in 2013 the dividend comprises of 6.5 sen normal dividend and 0.3 sen special dividend. Kindly refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” for previous year dividend.

The dividend will involve a payout of RM947.1 million. The figure is 3.6 percent higher than the payment of RM913.85 million made in 2013. Currently, there are 530,000 unit holders who currently hold 14.34 billion units of ASM.

As at 17th March, 2014, ASM registered a gross income of RM1.16 billion.

RM500 Billion In Debt – Is The Malaysian Government Bankrupt?

Bankrupt“We are going bankrupt in five years time”

“The government has no more money and we have RM500 billion of debt”

“Mismanagement and Corruption has made us poorer”

These are the routine statements you may have heard regarding the state of the Malaysian government finances.  But do they hold any water?

A while back, in Book 3 of the 259 Trillion Vs 5 Trillion Series, my co-author and I have presented the calculations of the US Government assets and compared them to the so called “mountain of debts” and found out that the opposite was the truth, that the US has far more asset than debt.  People with their own agenda use half-baked statistics to propel “unsuspecting” citizens to become angry and extremely emotional toward their own governments, masking their true intention, which is mostly for power grabs.  As such, with such roaring emotional outburst of various camps on small issues, I will try to dispel a few myths on the Government of Malaysia.  One should view things with brains and facts and not on sensationalized half-truths and emotion.

ASB Unitholders Get 8.70 sen Dividend & Bonus for 2013

Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) unitholders will receive a dividend of 7.70 sen and a bonus 1.0 sen per unit for the financial year ending 31st December 2013. This brings a total of 8.70 sen distribution income for year 2013.

This dividend and bonus are 0.05 sen and 0.15 sen lower compared to 7.75 sen and 1.15 declared in 2012 respectively.
