ASM Unitholders Get 6.6 sen Dividend for 2014

Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), announced a dividend of 6.6 sen per unit for the Amanah Saham Malaysia for the financial year ending 31st March, 2014.

In comparison, in 2013 the dividend comprises of 6.5 sen normal dividend and 0.3 sen special dividend. Kindly refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” for previous year dividend.

The dividend will involve a payout of RM947.1 million. The figure is 3.6 percent higher than the payment of RM913.85 million made in 2013. Currently, there are 530,000 unit holders who currently hold 14.34 billion units of ASM.

As at 17th March, 2014, ASM registered a gross income of RM1.16 billion.

The income distribution will be reinvested in additional units of ASM and be automatically credited into unitholders’ accounts on 1st April 2014.

ASM transactions at all branches and agents nationwide will be suspended in between 23rd to 31st March 2014 to facilitate the calculation of income distribution. Unitholders can update their investment books starting from 1st April 2014.

The calculation of the income distribution is based on the average minimum balance held throughout the financial year of ASM.
