LTAT Members Get 16% Dividend & Bonus for 2012


The Malaysian Armed Forces Fund, better known as Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) members will receive a 16 percent dividend and bonus for financial year end 31st December 2012.

The 16 percent dividend comprised of 7 percent dividend, 1 percent bonus and 8 per cent special bonus in the form of unit trusts.

LTAT manages to maintain its “stellar” record for its dividend rate. The lowest dividend rate since 1991 was 10 percent. The highest was 18.25 percent, which recorded in 1996.

ASM Unitholders Get 6.8 sen Dividend & Special Dividend for 2013


ASM

Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), announced a dividend of 6.8 sen per unit for the Amanah Saham Malaysia for the financial year ending 31st March, 2013. The dividend comprises of 6.5 sen normal dividend and 0.3 sen special dividend.

The dividend is an increase of 0.3 sen per unit compared with the 6.5 sen dividend given in 2012. Kindly refer to “Historical ASM Dividend Rate” for previous year dividend.

The dividend will involve a payout of RM913.85 million. The figure is 11.6 percent higher than the payment of RM900.72 million made in 2011. Currently, there are 542,809 unit holders who currently hold 13.44 billion units of ASM.

As at 11th March, 2013, ASM registered a gross income of RM1.07 billion.

Bank Rakyat Declares 18% Dividend for 2012

Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd (Bank Rakyat) declares 18 percent dividend to its members for financial year end 31st December 2012.

The dividend comprises two parts. A cumulative of RM330 million will be paid in cash, and the remaining RM55 million will be offered in the form of bonus share. A total of 947,541 Bank Rakyat Co-operative members will be enjoying the dividend.

Progressive Payment Schedule for Landed Property (Residential)

PropertyIf you are buying an under construction  landed property directly from the developer, the payments to the developers will be based on the construction progress of said property. Buyer (or the lender) is required to pay progressive payment (mostly within 21 days) once the construction milestones achieved & approved by the architect.

Take notes that after the purchaser takes the vacant possession (buyer is able to stay in the property), there is still 5 percent of the total purchase price being held. This amount will be paid to the property developer in two stages, 2.5% each after 6 months and 18 months after the date the purchaser takes vacant possessions.

2012 Top 15 Largest Stock Brokers Trading in Bursa Malaysia

There are many Stock Broker or also known as Participating Organization, which licensed to trade in Bursa Malaysia. Full list can be found in Bursa Malaysia website here.

For 2012, CIMB Investment Bank retained as the largest stock broker by trading value with 11.68 percent market share, up from 10.36 percent in 2011. On the other hand, the largest trading volume was Kenanga Investment Bank with 12.7 percent market share.

Generally, in 2012, total trading volumes were slightly higher when compare to 2011, but the trading value reduced by about 6.8 percent.
